Wealden District Council held the first of their series of Summer Activity Days at the Goldsmiths Recreaction Ground in Crowborough yesterday (Wednesday).
356 local children had a great time joining in the fun activities and games. The boys and girls played tennis, football and cricket, had cooking fun with the Community Chef and made things like badges & kites.
The children were excited to sit in a fire engine, wear the firefighters uniform or have a go in a police vehicle.
It was a true community event with ESCC Childrens Centres, Freedom Leisure, Active Play, East Sussex Association of Blind, East Sussex Credit Union, and the Hearing Resource Centre there to highlight the activities and support that they offer families with young children.
Well done to all the organisations and groups who participated to make the day a great success! For more events for children in Crowborough this summer see the What’s On Guide (your event not listed? Email firstname.lastname@example.org).
